Randolph Frederick “ Randy Pausch” (October 23, 1960 – July 25,2008) was an American professor of computer science and human-computer interaction and design at Carnegie Mellon University (CMU) in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Pausch learned that he had pancreatic cancer in September 2006, and in August 2007 he was given a terminal diagnosis: “3 to 6 months of good health left”. He gave an upbeat lecture entitled “The Last Lecture: Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams” on September 18, 2007 at Carnegie Mellon, which became a popular youtube video and led to other media appearances. He then co-authored a book called The Last Lecture on the same theme, which became a New York Times best-seller. Pausch died of complications from pancreatic cancer on July 25, 2008.
This video “the Last Lecture” it was great inspirational story to every person would like to watch this video. Randy Pausch was very nice and passionate person and very optimist also he value his time a lot like a budgeting money. He was brave man even though he was terrible sick no one say that or notice this in his appearance he can bravely say in front of his audience “ I’m not in denial am I’m a good health right now” its true if we only based in his physical appearance. Who can say that he had pancreatic cancer and 3 to 6 months left in his life, if we can see that he is in good health right now and have authority to share in all people his incredible story during childhood. Mr. Randy Pausch was done a great many things, this is for sure. However, not all of them have been admirable or good for all.
One of the most quote that I like is he say “It’s not about how to achieve your dreams, it’s about how to led your life,… If you lead your life the right way, the karma will take care of itself, the dreams will come to you… In realization it’s not about how you achieve your dreams in life but how you lead your life in the right way.. There’s a lot of quotation that discussed in this story that could help us to have a better life, have could help us to be a better person. What if you’re the one in the situation of Randy Pausch, in the last 3 or 6 months of your life, how could you spend this in perfectly and awesome things?… What could be your final farewell lecture to everyone?
